How can we help you?
In order to better meet your needs, we ask you to follow these instructions:
Academic Affairs– Ftx 237
Course Related Inquiries: Registration, Course Selections, Credit Load
If you are coming to see someone in Academic Affairs because you have a Registration, course scheduling or other course-related problem, please have your course selections handy (including your second, third and even fourth choices) and fill out the Student Request form before you meet with one of the Academic Assistants in this office. She may not be able to help you right away, so please be patient.
Short-term Accommodations: Excused Absence, Extension, Deferral
If you need an excused absence, extension, deferral or help with an academic matter arising from a short-term circumstance or one time event ( e.g.: a short illness, a temporary injury, a day surgery) or on compassionate grounds (e.g.: a death in the immediate family, a sick child or dependent) ,) you will need supporting documentation such as a note from your doctor, a note from student counselling services (for personal or family-related problems) or other relevant material Once you have this documentation, please come back, fill out the Short-Term Accommodation Request form and hand it in to an Academic Assistant in the Academic Affairs office. An appointment will be scheduled for you if necessary. Otherwise, you will receive an email confirming the action taken on your request.

Long-term Accommodations: Excused Absence, Extension, Deferral
If you need an excused absence, extension, deferral or help with an academic matter related to a permanent situation (e.g.: a disability, an enduring medical condition), an ongoing or long term situation (e.g.: a personal crisis, a chronic injury, pregnancy) or on equity-related grounds (e.g. religious observances, single parenthood, eldercare responsibilities) please see Jessica Simon, Manager, Equity and Academic Success in Student Services – FTX 233.
