REGISTRATION DATES 

 

Tuesday, June 25 (10:00 am)

  • All 3rd year and National Program Students On-line registration begins, or 
  • Deadline date to return your Course Selection Form
Wednesday, July 3 (10:00 am
  • All 2nd year Students and others On-line registration begins, or 
  • Deadline date to return your Course Selection Form 
Wednesday, July 10 
  • First year students. Manual registration done at the Academic Affairs Office.

 FALL TERM 2013


September 2

  • Labour Day (University is closed. No classes)

September 3

September 4

  • Classes begin (all students, all years)

September 4 - 18

  • Course Change Period (upper years only - in person or on-line)
  • Students who want to register for a directed research project for the Fall Term 2013 must obtain a  Directed Research Form(green form also available at the Academic Affairs Office) and have it signed by the supervising faculty member and returned to the Academic Affairs Office (FTX237) before September 18.

September 30

  • Last day to delete a course/activity and obtain a 100% financial credit. (Dropping a course could impact your program requirements. Please ensure that you assess the repercussions.)

October 14

  • Thanksgiving Day (University is closed. No classes.)

October 29

November 3

  • Fall Convocation. More information can be found here.
November 14 (11:30 am)
  • January Term registration for 3rd year and National Program students

November 15

  • Last day to withdraw from a course/activity with no financial credit. (Dropping a course could impact your program requirements. Please ensure that you assess the repercussions.)
November 20 (11:30 am)
  • January Term registration for 2nd year students
  • January Term registration for International exchange students, and students visiting on letter of Permission: November 20, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. NOTE: You cannot register via Rabaska. In order to process your registration, please fill out the Modification / Cancellation of Registration form and submit it in person at the Academic Affairs Office (FTX237), or by fax (613-562-5869).

December 3

  • Last day of classes (all students, all years)

JANUARY TERM 2014


January 6

  • Courses begin (all students, all years)

January 6 - 8  

  • Course Change Period (upper years only - in person or on-line)
  • Students who want to register for a directed research project for January Term 2014 must obtain a  Directed Research Form(green form also available at the Academic Affairs Office) and have it signed by the supervising faculty member and returned to the Academic Affairs Office (FTX237)  by January 8th.  (Anyone registering for a Directed Research during the January Term must be supervised by a full-time faculty member, or by a supervisor approved by Academic Affairs, and must remain in residence during the three weeks of the term).
January 9
  • Last day to delete a course/activity and obtain a 100% financial credit for the January 2014 term (Dropping a course could impact your program requirements. Please ensure that you assess the repercussions.)

January 10

January 16

  • Fall Term 2013 final grades will be approved by the Faculty Council and released via Infoweb.
  • First year mid-term grades will be posted on Virtual Campus.

January 17

  • Last day to withdraw from a course/activity for the January 2014 term
  • Selection of Satisfactory / Non-Satisfactory (= failure) Method of Evaluation (See details under January Term Important Information Section). Please note that the Satisfactory / Non-Satisfactory (= failure) evaluation only applies for January term courses or supervised directed research. Internships are already graded on a Satisfactory / Non-Satisfactory (= failure) basis. Students registered in a Competitive moot cannot apply for a Satisfactory / Non-Satisfactory (= failure). (Students from Michigan State University College of Law and Washington College of Law should check with their home University to see if they can opt for this method of evaluation).

WINTER TERM 2014


February 3

  • Courses begin (all years)

February 3-7

  • Course Change Period (upper years only). 
  • Students who want to register for a directed research project for Winter Term 2014 must obtain a  Directed Research Form (green form also available at the Academic Affairs Office) and have it signed by the supervising faculty member and returned to the Academic Affairs Office (FTX237) by February 7.
  • Course Change Period Thematic course. NOTE: You cannot register via Rabaska. In order to process your registration, please fill out the Modification / Cancellation of Registration form and submit it in person at the Academic Affairs Office (FTX237), or by fax (613-562-5869).

February 17   

  • Family Day (University is closed. No classes.)

February 18

  • Last day to delete a course/activity and obtain a 100% financial credit for the Winter 2014 term (Dropping a course could impact your program requirements. Please ensure that you assess the repercussions.)

February 26 

  • Career Day (All classes are cancelled between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) 

February 28

March 21
  • Last day to withdraw from a course/activity with no financial credit (Dropping a course could impact your program requirements. Please ensure that you assess the repercussions.)

March 24

  • Deadline to submit a request for a computerized exam Fee Waiver Request Form. Note: please contact Jessica Simon, Manager, Equity & Academic Success, for deadlines related to accommodations.

March 31

  • Deadline to download ExamSoft software. Note: please contact Jessica Simon, Manager, Equity & Academic Success, for deadlines related to accommodations.
  • Convocation (Request for Diploma). In order to receive your diploma, you must complete and submit the Registration for Degree and Request for Diploma form by March 31. Indicate on the form if you will be attending your Convocation ceremony. The form is accessible via uoZone (click on InfoWeb, then click on Services and Request to graduate).

April 4

  • Last day of classes (all students, all years)

April 7

  • Last day to submit Option forms approved by option coordinators

April 7 - 24

  • Examination Period

April 18 - 21
