Dr. Hadeer Abo El Nagah
Is a visiting scholar at P J I WS, Carleton University, Part time Professor at Institute of Women Studies at The University of Ottawa. Abo El Nagah is a Fulbright scholar and a former professor at the State University of New York. She earned her PhD from Al Azhar Azhar University in Cairo. She authored a series of 10 books about Islam and its culture. Her research focuses on Women in Islam and African Diaspora in the Americas. She is widely interviewed in the media in issues concerning women in Islam and in the Middle East. She was a guest speaker at numerous conventions and contributor to a large number of newspapers. She is a Sharia advisor at the gender division of Human Rights Watch.
