MA (Economics, York), LL.B., LL.M. (Osgoode), of the Ontario Bar, is a partner in the Tax Department of Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP.
His practice focuses on litigation including dispute resolution. Prior to joining Osler he was the Assistant Deputy Attorney General of the Tax Law Services portfolio in the Justice Department that provided all of the legal services required to the Canada Revenue Agency. He received his Queens Counsel in 1985, and has appeared before all levels of court. He is a Governor of the Canadian Tax Foundation and lectures in Business Associations, and in Taxation at the University of Ottawa Law School. He has spoken frequently on taxation and practice issues, and has co-authored a number of publications.
