Llana Nakonechny
B.F.A. (Brock), LL.B. (Ottawa), LL.M. (Essex), of the Bar of Ontario, Replacement Assistant Professor
Professor Nakonechny teaches Contract and Property Law. A recent addition to the faculty, Professor Nakonechny is a partner in the all women firm of Dickson MacGregor Appel Burton since 1999. She is instructor at the Bar Admission course in Legal Research and Writing and Family Law and has lectured in Family Law and Practice at Ryerson Polytechnic University. In a previous career, Professor Nakonechny was Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Concordia University. Co-author of Settlement Procedure and Precedents in Ontario, Professor Nakonechny has published in areas such as Property Rights, Women and Criminal Law, and wrote her LL.M. thesis on AIDS and Civil Liberties. In her spare time, she is lead singer in the group «Black and Blue».
