Louise Bélanger-Hardy specializes in Tort Law and in Medical Law. Her other fields of interest are Comparative Law, Legal Writing and pedagogy in the law school.
After practising law for three years in Ottawa with Borden, Ladner, Gervais (known at the time as Scott & Aylen), she joined the Common Law Section of the Faculty of Law of the University of Ottawa. She was Vice-Dean from 1995 to 1999. The quality of her teaching has earned her many teaching prizes from the Common Law Student Society.
