CIPPIC 2012 Summer Internship Program
The Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic (CIPPIC) Summer Internship Program offers outstanding law students an unequalled opportunity to work with leading lawyers and public interest advocates on cutting edge research and advocacy involving issues arising from the use of new technologies.
While contributing to policy and law reform from a public interest perspective, and furthering public education on important emerging issues, students learn how to be effective researchers, policy analysts, and advocates.
The program is open to graduate and undergraduate Canadian law students who have completed at least one year of law school. It runs from May 7 – July 27, 2012 (12 weeks), and includes a stipend of C$6000 to cover accommodation, travel and living costs. Special arrangements may be made with graduate students to extend the internship period in order to meet academic obligations.
Interns will actively work on CIPPIC projects and cases, attend conferences and workshops, and participate in other aspects of the University of Ottawa Law & Technology Program.
Applicants must send a cover letter, curriculum vitae and copies of University transcripts (originals not required) to:
