Common Law Team Wins Regional ABA Negotiation Competition in Boston

Over the weekend of November 9 and 10, 2013, the Common Law mooting team of second-year students Tanner Oscapella and Chris Kreutzner were victorious at the American Bar Association Regional Negotiation Competition at the New England School of Law in Boston, taking first place over 23 other teams from the region. Dispute Resolution Program Celebrates 15 Years, Launches New Website

On January 9, 2012, Common Law celebrated the 15th Anniversary of the Dispute Resolution Program, simultaneously launching a new open access teaching website.  The event was coupled with this year’s annual Thomas Feeney Memorial Lecture. (details)

Faculty of Law Hosts First Annual Canadian Client Consultation Competition

The University of Ottawa Client Consultation teams of Ziah Sumar, Joanne Collins, Margherita Barbagallo and Masiel Matus competed in the first annual Canadian Client Consultation Competition held at the University of Ottawa on February 25 & 26, 2012.  The competition simulates the initial client interview and showcases the students' interviewing skills. Common Law Team Competes in ICC Moot in Paris

Over the week of February 3 – 8, 2012, Common Law students Lars Brusven, Majid Charania, Jean-Michel Fréchette and Charlotte Wolters competed in the 7th International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Commercial Mediation Competition in Paris. (details)
