Internships

We are excited to offer two great Professional Responsibility internship opportunities in both January and Winter 2013 terms.  Please read the internship descriptions carefully and send your application, including all required documents, to Professor Pavlovic at rdp-drp@uottawa.ca by 4pm on 10 December 2012.

These internships are by selection and the internship placements will interview potential candidates before reaching a final decision.

 

CANADIAN BAR ASSOCIATION

Number of placements

2 (one in January term 2013 & 1 in Winter 2013 term)

Number of hours

125h

Project/Description

Student-intern will be working on the CBA Future of Legal Practice project.

Language(s)

English: excellent

French: good to excellent reading comprehension or higher

Course prerequisites

Required: CML1106 Dispute Resolution and Professional Responsibility or CML1506 Introduction à la résolution de différends

Recommended: CML1105 Legal Ethics and Professional Responsibility, CML3376 Professional Responsibility, or CML3776 Responsabilité professionnelle

DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE: PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT DIVISION CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION PROGRAM

Project/Description

Internship with the Professional Development Division Continuing Legal Education Program will involve working on issues related to accreditation of courses with law societies, as well as the coordination and development of courses for lawyers of the Department of Justice.

French: excellent competency in French is an asset

Course prerequisites

Required: CML1106 Dispute Resolution and Professional Responsibility or CML1506 Introduction à la résolution de différends
