Prof. Manirakiza to Speak at Law Society’s Human Rights Forum
Professor Pacifique Manirakiza will present “A Legal Perspective on the (non)Enforcement of the R2P Principle” at a panel discussion entitled, Reconciling State Sovereignty with the Global Responsibility to Protect, on Monday, April 6, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. at the Law Society of Upper Canada, 130 Queen Street West, Toronto.In addition to Prof. Manirakiza, the panel will feature distinguished experts in human rights, foreign policy and international law, including the Honourable Bob Rae, the Honourable Mr. Justice Harry LaForme, and Mr. Steve Crawshaw, United Nations Advocacy Director, Human Rights Watch.
This public event, hosted by the Law Society and its Human Rights Monitoring Group, is open to the public.
