Raahool Watchmaker teaches International Trade Remedies. 
Raahool is counsel to the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade and the Department of Justice.  He represents Canada in WTO disputes involving trade remedies and agriculture as well as in investment disputes pursuant to NAFTA Chapter 11.  He also provides legal advice to government department and agencies on Canada’s international trade and investment obligations.

Prior to joining the Government of Canada, Raahool was an associate at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP in Ottawa.  Raahool has represented clients before the Canada Border Services Agency, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal, the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade and the Department of Finance on dumping and subsidization inquiries and reviews, safeguard measures, government procurement challenges, customs appeals and international trade policy matters.  He has also appeared before the Federal Courts and North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) dispute resolution panels.  He has acted for Canadian producers, importers and foreign exporters in anti-dumping, countervail and safeguard actions.  In addition, he is experienced in investment and competition law related aspects of international trade agreements.  He has also acted as counsel on several investor-state disputes and advised clients in competition/anti-trust matters.

Raahool is a graduate of the University of Ottawa Law School (Common Law Section) where he participated in the 2000 Jessup International Moot Competition, was an active member of the school's CLAIHR chapter and was the 2000 Maxwell Cohen International Law Scholar.
