The Access and Equity Officer works closely with Academic Affairs and Access Services to ensure that all possible accommodations are made for law students with disabilities and those who face exceptional circumstances. Accommodations are available for all classroom work and examinations. Guidelines regarding requests for exam accommodations are posted on Access Service's website. Please visit the Access Services Website if you require in-class or exam accommodations, as deadlines for requests do apply.Access Services coordinates accommodations for students on campus. Law students with disabilities must register with Access Services in order that appropriate and reasonable accommodations can be identified by learning specialists. Exam accommodations can vary from supplemental time in an exam to writing in a private room. The types of accommodations granted are based on the outcome of the evaluation of a student’s needs. Other supports available to students with disabilities including notetaking services, transcription and ASL translation services. Also, through their on line library system, print disabled students can have access to many law materials in electronic format.
