William Amos is a public interest environmental lawyer and is the Director of the uOttawa-Ecojustice Environmental Law Clinic, where he has taught in both French and English since March 2007.  He manages a variety of litigation files and law reform projects.  He has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada, the Ontario Superior and Divisional Courts, the Quebec Superior Court, the Ontario Municipal Board, and the Ontario Environmental Review Tribunal.

In 2006-2007, Will served as legal counsel to the Canadian Radio–Television and Telecommunications Commission. He articled and began his legal career with the firm Heenan Blaikie L.L.P. in Montreal from 2004-2006. In 2003, he was a legal associate with the Mexican Environmental Law Centre (CEMDA).  He was a consultant for the North American Commission on Environmental Cooperation in 2001 – 2002. From 1999 to 2001, he served as a special assistant to the federal Environment Minister on a range of issues, including species-at-risk and water policy. He was a research assistant in the Prime Minister’s Office in 1996.

Currently, Will is a Member of the Barreau du Quebec’s Environmental Law committee. He has appeared on several occasions before Parliamentary committees on environment and trade law matters. He has published numerous articles in academic and non-academic journals on a variety of environmental law and policy matters.
